Always cook fish to an internal temperature of 145°F.
Ingredients
- 1 package Superior Walleye
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper cut into strips
- 1/2 cup sweet Vidalia onion cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
- 2 deli style sub buns
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Instructions
- Remove fish from the package, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large frypan add 3 Tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Coat fish in flour and shake off excess.
- Add fish to heated pan carefully letting it fall away from you.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook 4-5 minutes per side or until nicely browned and fish starts to flake apart.
- Once fish is flipped add the onions and peppers to cook in the pan and season them with the cajun seasoning.
- As fish finishes cooking, top with the onions and peppers and cheese to melt.
- Remove from the pan and serve on sub bun topped with condiments.
