Celebrating 60 Years
Located in Traverse City, Michigan, Louie’s Meats was founded in 1962 by Louie Alepers. Louie saw a need from local residents and businesses for custom processed meats from neighboring farmers. Soon after opening, Louie’s grew to serve restaurants, delis and distributors statewide.
In 1980, Louie’s began making corned beef marketed under the O’Brien name. Since then, O’Brien Corned Beef has been a choice of restaurants, delicatessens and home kitchens throughout Michigan.
